Lovely Things’ Quality Standards
What we love to buy
- Most brands of quality clothing but we have very strict standards (see below for exclusions of certain brands).
- All sizes of clothes up to 10 years of age in excellent condition, clean and freshly washed and ironed. Clothes which are not freshly washed will be rejected, you will be asked to collect these items or have them posted back at your own cost. Please note that clothes which have been stored in an attic, storage unit or similar are NOT considered to be freshly washed.
- New items with tags do not need to be washed.
- Fully functional (i.e. working zips, buttons, etc.) All items should be turned the right way around (not inside out) and buttons/poppers/zippers are done up.
What we cannot buy ☹
- Clothes from smoking or vaping households.
- Clothes with any stains, rips, pulls, holes, pilling, missing buttons or labels, obvious discolouration, stretching, cracked print or marker/pen marks.
- Clothing from ultra fast fashion online brands including but not limited to Boohoo, Shein, Temu - please think about buying from these brands in the first place.
- Any items with names or year of birth (e.g. 'Mary' 'Born in 2023').
- Baby equipment/accessories.
- Communion suits.
